In the year 2000, Oleg published his first CD ‘Awakening’ and decided to continue his studies at the Messiaen Conservatory in the Netherlands in order to learn more about interpreting the classical styles of the Renaissance and Baroque periods and further improve his technical and stylistic skills. He subsequently specialized in Argentinian tango at the World Music Department of the Rotterdam Conservatory, and started to apply his knowledge and experience of the accordion to the bandoneon, an instrument traditionally used in tango music.
